Forgive me for having little time for a full update, which will be added later. The two new Broughs are really fine examples - one in 'Pendine' trim (strapped petrol tank, twin carbs, no lights, lightweight mudguards, André damper on the Castle forks, tuned 1150cc engine, etc), the other in twin-headlamp 'Alpine Grand Sports' guise (above). They're beautiful, they run, and they're not over-done. Excellent job, lads.
More images from Pebble Beach tomorrow - it's four days of gearhead nirvana, with various shows, races, parades, auctions happening at different venues daily, all over the Monterey Bay area.
Some familiar faces have shown up as well - above is 'Norton' George Cohen, Pete Young, and artist Conrad Leach, whose work was featured at the Legend of the Motorcycle Concours last year. They all think the new Broughs are pretty keen as well.
The display is great as well, with unpublished photos from the BS archive blown up on strung banners - it adds a distinctive touch of class to the MidAmerica Auction tent.
And once again, you saw them here first!
