My friend Harley Welch, who organizes the Moto Melee, California Melee, and the Giro d'California, sent me these photos of a 'barn find' in, wait for it, Dakar! Apparently his acquaintance 'Eddie from Rome' is working in the area for a year, and found this Vincent series C Comet in someone's shed... there also appears to be a swingarm BSA in the photo as well. The Comet is amazingly original; to think we used to find them locally in this condition - now one has to look a little farther afield... Great discovery!
